Looking out my window

I hear the 'pitter patter'

of the rain come down

Just a soft

drizzle at first

then it seems

like the sky

has burst

Now the

rain beats

down faster

No more of

the 'pitter patter'

A flash of lightning

A clash of thunder

making a very loud

'BOOMING' sound

that shakes the

house

The lights

grow dim

and finally

flicker off

Just as I

faintly

hear

a

tree

limb

snap

When

will

this

storm

come

to

pass
