“A pointless task” I have been told,
Is this task that is laid upon me.
“Why waste your time?” they jeer and chime
Oh, how I wish they could see!
How blind they are to just how far
The power of God longs to go.
They do not understand this wonderful plan
I wish only that they could know.
A giant stands with sword in hand
His size doth grant a fearful pause
With his cries, God’s army he defies
Oh, is there not a cause?!
The giant great with fearsome hate,
Loathsome guile, and haughty heart
Has no chance in circumstance
As from evil God’s people depart.
A glimmer of hope is now in scope
The giant will surely fall
For I am armored in God’s Holy Word
And triumphant shall be my call!
Oh say, can’t you see from sea to sea
The potential for God’s holy way?
The Giant will flee for our prosperity
As God blesses the old USA
