Save me from this endless night
Take away this pain and alarm
Make everything alright
Hold me close to you
Help me forget what I lost
Erase all the pain I knew
And please return what it cost
Hold my hand tight in yours
Never let it go
Teach me that the world still turns
Even as my life slows
Hold my heart close and dear
And tell it not to break
Don’t let pass another year
With smiles all so fake
Hold my life within your grasp
To kill or nourish well
Will this love be one that lasts?
We both know time will tell
Hold me until that day comes
Hold me until a goodbye is sung
Hold me until you break my heart
Hold me until the pain restarts
