What Is True Love

How can you tell someone else

What true love is

If they’ve never known it

No words can share it

It’d be like describing to a fish

What it’s like to ride a bicycle

True love knows no bounds

It’s humble beneath all needs

It rises above all superlatives

It is all that is all

It’s forgivness

for the most heinous sin

It’s wisdom

that all life has meaning

It’s hope

beyond sheer hopelessness

It’s sure knowledge

that all will be well

It’s tears wept

for the pain of another

It’s tears of joy

at anothers’ triumph

It’s fire

that enraptures the soul

It’s connection

in superdimensional totality

It’s believing

in the love of another

It’s the purest fusion

of one from two

It’s you and I

Author's Notes/Comments:

tryin' to let go of the rhyme rail here .... must learn to let my words stand as they are, without proping them up with the strictures of rhyme.
