She's back in town again

and she insist we're

still the best of friends

and she knows I want to hold her so

but my love is something she's let go

she kissed me and I didn't smile

she said I'll just take my kiss right back

if that's how you're going to react

and I thought

haven't you already done that....

taken all your kisses back.....

moved me from loved to loneliness

and there is so much that I miss

yours was the only love

I never could resist

you always knew I fell in love right away

before it was something that you heard me say

and I should have stayed so far away

but the time was right and so I played

and I was as weak as I could be

the first time you said you loved me

for the first time I just gave my heart

I wasn't just playing another part

then you quickly moved away

though I begged for you to stay

I told you I didn't want to say good bye

and when I did, I couldn't help but cry

then I still called you on the phone

and I felt so awful and alone

and all I ever wanted was one more kiss

but mine was love you didn't miss

now you visit, just to visit home

or to make another friend

and I'm always left alone

and you don't even try to pretend

that I maybe could love you once again

so haven't you already done that
