I am a tomato

I grew up hanging from a small tree.

Maybe that is why people confuse me.

Am I a fruit or a vegetable?

I too am very confuse

Fruits are defined as food that grow on trees

But vegetables are foods that grow from the ground.

Some vegetables are cocooned

As if their protected

But I dangled from a small tree unprotected

In food markets

They also do not know where to place me

Do they place me in the vegetable section?

Or shall I be placed in the fruit section?

This is their decision.

 So they place me in the center.

As if to mock me,

Show me off as a freak of nature

Although this is not major

All I know

Is that I am a tomato
