Hallucinations.
As a Parkinson Patient I have the occasional change of medical tablets. This happened two weeks ago. I was admitted into hospital and a new drug was given. I will not mention the name of this drug, as I do not want to put anyone off from having his or her drugs changed for something better.
I dropped off into a light doze; on opening my eyes a little later I noticed that the room lights had been dimmed. A movement caught my eye upon the wall was a box with light emitting diodes. Three red and one green I watched these lights chasing each other up and away from the box. Only to reappear a few seconds later. This spiel of lights went on for quite a while. Fed up with this play I turned in my bed and faced the window.
Opposite the hospital were tall four and five story houses. Many of the windows were well lit, what really caught my attention were three windows. These three windows had no curtains and were coloured red. This I must say surprised me who has red lights in a lived in house. No not a brothel a normal house. What really caught my eye was that the three windows were moving; each window took the place of the other. It was very nerving and I truly wished that they would stop all that moving around it somehow made me feel dizzy.
The following day I awoke with a thick head and a shortage of breath. My Doctor an expert on Parkinson’s told me that she would immediately put me back on my Sinemet drugs. The new drug was causing me to hallucinate. I must admit if it had happened some other time I would probably have enjoyed the experience. Now I am beginning to wonder if their green light emitting diodes on my modem also chase each other during my periods of sleep. Bern
