Fairy Sweets.

I took the fairies to a large factory that makes sweets,

my taking them was to give them a well-deserved treat.

I could under no circumstances take my family mouse,

they all stayed at home to look after my old house.

Some leprechauns came with us just for the ride,

they wanted some sweets just to put on the side.

In the factory we walked through to the new boiling floor,

it was very hot as we went through the revolving door.

Fifty large vats of toffee were boiling merrily away,

there was nothing for us to eat I am sorry to say.

Then on to a big room where toffees in bags were filled,

here the Leprechauns were all excited and rather thrilled.

Each fairy and leprechaun were given a bag of toffees,

all of different flavours, why some were like sweet coffees.

Then we were shown through a huge dispatching hall,

hurriedly all my fairies and leprechauns I to me did call.

I did not want to loose a fairy or leprechaun on the way,

for we were soon all to go home and call it a good day.

On the way home all ate of their toffees it was very quiet,

thank goodness not one of them were on a strict diet.

My bag of toffees I gave to my large family mouse,

It was a fair reward for looking after my old house.

I then went up the stairs to my four-poster bed,

my, was I glad to lay down my weary old head.

It had been a very exciting day out for us all,

                                                        Now I am waiting for the sand man to call.
