Locked behind bone
Unexposed
Protected
Until you
Bone breaker
You entered
You found
My fragile heart
To hold
So now I stand
With my heart in your hands
And I ask
Be gentle
Be kind
To my heart exposed
Do not let it fall
To be scarred in descent
To be broken
To be shattered
Into pieces that once
Came together
Behind bone
Hidden
Safe in its home
