Coyotes and Deer

God created a dry and hot world in which there only existed two types of animals: coyotes and deer. The world had okay vegetation, enough plants, grass and a little bit of water. At certain spots of the world you could encounter great oasis’s. With the variety of vegetation that existed, both the coyotes and deer were happy, they had what they needed: space, food and water. The coyotes and deer happily ate grass and fruits and even shared their food if necessary. Then one day, God got sick, he couldn’t keep maintaining his world, the weather got extremely hot, the vegetation started to burn, the water started to dry up, everything was being a disaster. Both the deer and coyotes teamed up to try to solve this problem. They had no idea what was happening and didn’t know what to do in order to save the world and themselves.
A deer said, “I believe we should collect anything we can and store it at a camp, as reserve, and hopefully it will be enough until the weather calms down again.”
A coyote responded, “That’s not a bad idea at all. Everyone, to collect!”
And of everyone went looking and for anything viable, anything that could mean life, anything useful. Little by little, with everyone’s efforts, 25 day’s of food and water was found and collected for everyone.
A coyote said, “That should be enough. I don’t believe that this heat wave should last more than 25 days, everything will return to normal, and we can go off to our lifes.”
All the deer and coyotes agreed.
“Wise words my friend. I propose to stop doing exercise and stop moving a lot to reduce the amount of food and water we want.” Said another coyote.
All the deer and coyotes agreed.
2 days passed by and no changes. 10 more days passed by and no changes, the heat got more intense.
“Everything will be okay. No need to panic.” Said a deer to the anxious and impatient coyotes.
10 more days passed, and absolutely no change at all. The smoke from the burning trees and grass was starting to daze everyone. They only had food for 3 more days.
A coyote whispered to another coyote, “Ever analyzed a deer? They are really fat, I would say they taste delicious.”
The coyote responded, “Are you crazy. That is disgusting, I would never eat a deer or a coyote. Only grass and fruits.”
“You would never consider, if all the food ran out, as the only way of survival, to eat them?”
“Oh, I don’t know, if it comes to surviving, I don’t know.” Responded the coyote.
2 days passed, and the temperature started to decrease, the world started to cool down.
God got better after 24 days. He realized the chaos he had done and automatically fixed everything to how it was before and even introduced zebras, lions, elephants, rhinos, jaguars, bears, tigers, foxes. He changed his world to be much cooler and wetter resulting in a beautiful vegetation.
Both the deer and coyotes were amazed.
