Dazzled and frazzled...
At the very least confused.
Lost for a moment now fleeting
And bruised.
Take in the wind, take it all
As your guide.
Fear not the hunter
Who's come for your hide.
Look past the shadows
Which fall into place.
Slowly defining
The pain in your face.
And try to find comfort
With all that is known
The carelessly whispering
Thoughts on the phone.
The "run-for-your-life"...
"It's Alive!"...screams of play.
Just hiding the truth
For revival some day.
And the drip-drip trickle
Of the passing of days,
Reminiscent of summer
Now lost in the haze.
Reaching here, looking there,
Dreaming out of the box
And the mad circle feed
In the school of hard knocks.
Ah, its bliss, it will pass
Just a kiss and I'll soar
Fade to black in your eyes
Fall to mute on the floor.
And the never ever after
Of what cannot be
Takes its toll on the pulse
Of the dream that I see.
For in loss there is pause
For a moment to breathe
But, to live with the fire
Is to truly believe.
