Amelia my darling, how much you've grown
You've made it through, each stepping stone
Walking now, it takes my breath away
I love to just sit, and watch you play
You say mama, it lifts my spirit high
And then it breaks my heart, to hear you cry
To stop your pain, is what I am here for
Go out on adventures, and explore
I promise you my girl, I'm here for you
When you fall, I'll help you through
Get you back up, kiss away the pain
Even though it drives me insane
So scared of all the new things you'll try
But I must let you spread your wings and fly
A marvelous job your doing too
