Tonight is your night
I broke the phone
No, unplugging it wouldn’t have done it
I have disconnected cable and unplugged the television
Just me and you tonight, just us

Candles lit, flowers spread around
Romance frames my apartment
I look into your eyes, knowing this is the end
The end of searching
Because the same look is in your eyes

No radio, yes there is a hammer in it
Only sounds I wanna hear are from you
Yes, the cell phone is in the toilet
It is easier to be with just you tonight
Just us tonight, cocoon of love and lust

The computer in shambles
Only the rumble of my voice
Singing out poetry, give the heart’s song
Looking into your eyes, we dance
Together in this chancy dream

With your hands held in mine
We lead each other deeper
Into the emotions, leaving the modern world
Alone and outside with the rest of the noisy distractions
