Ebony Phoenix (Rewritten)

Watch the ebony phoenix rise

And hear its victims tormented cries

The brave shall fall and lose their lives

All those who face this creature

Will be scorched, those they love will wither

The ebony phoenix is almighty

You will die if you see this deity

Black flames sprout from blackened wings

A dark crown on its head claims king

Talons black and piercing sharp

One swing can rip out a still-beating heart

Reddened eyes burn into your core

They watch his victims hit the floor

A single glance from these wicked eyes

Can make even the angels cry

The dark fire cast from his wings

Brings death and ruin to all things

A blast of fire from this deity's mouth

Will bring terror as people shout,

Scream and cower in fear

And in an instant, the pain's not there

It's darkness blast pierces the soul

Within the Earth, it leaves a hole

A hero clad in armored light

Rose above to claim the night

But this honest man fell

As the flames dragged him to hell

The ebony phoenix rises high

As it soars into the sky

As it flies, even higher

The sacred bird sets itself on fire

It bursts into a blazing ball of doom

Which torches and creates nothing but ruin

The world becomes a darkened grave

Even God has abandoned, he's not that brave

As he ascends to Heaven's gates

And scorches many, who there wait

He tears into the stronghold

And burns the stories that have been told

Noah and his ark is on fire

The animals scream in a tormented song

He torches angel's to enjoy their screams

And makes them wish it was a bad dream

The angels all perish one by one

But the battle has yet to be won

He throws God onto his knees

And makes him cry, to hear his pleas

The phoenix, unmerciful, rips him to shreds

'Til God is a myth and he is dead

The phoenix then descends to hell

Where the damned and wicked dwell

The red flames only fuel his fire

As he makes the demon's sing in a choir-

In a choir of twisted screams

Until they are no longer existing

Once the demon's hit the ground

And Satan has finally been found

Cowering behind his blackened throne

The throne then flies into the wall

And the mighty demon was the last to fall

The phoenix now sits on his throne of flames

And he is the conquerer yet again

Author's Notes/Comments:

Before commenting, I'd like people to actually know that this poem is not a jab at religion. The phoenix represents man's darkest ambitions, where they would cast aside their religion and morales to fuel their greed for wealth and power.
