From smile to frown
Through thick and thin
Throughout, within.

Eyes that shine
A smile that glows
Skin so soft.

The sound of breath
And tears of sadness
Arms that lock
And legs that really walk.

Ears to nibble
Noses to rub
Lips that glisten
Words that sooth.

For your patience
Understanding
Because you share
I feel your love.

Because morning mourns
The death of night
When you slip away from me
My fingers cry.

I long for your presence
So thoughts will carry me along.
For every moment
We measure time.

My life is sweeter
Because of you
And to make you happy
No hesitation could be found.
