Through the usage of the term "ruthless", I was led by the Lord to the book of Ruth and what the origins of such a word may be. Ruth, through her compassion and love for her mother-in-law, stayed with her and returned to her mother-in-law's people instead of returning to her own people, the Moabites. Ultimately, Ruth caught the eye of Boaz, became his wife, and bore Obed, father of Jesse, Father of David, our good Lord's faithful servant and the bloodline of Jesus. Amen.

Lord, thanks and praise be to You as you lead me to greater understanding of Your people, their language and origins. Lord may we be "Ruthless" in our pursuit of our spiritual being. May we be "Ruthful" as we address our brothers and sisters that we lift up in Jesus' name. You have given us Ruth, that we might treat each other with compassion and love. May we strive to better understand Your message daily. Amen.
