I follow failure throw the fire
Right to it’s bitter end
And I wash away all the ashes
And I try to pretend
That happiness is really a lie
Told by fools in spite
And that loneliness is normal
Even you’re alone tonight
Still I feel my mind crumble apart
Piece by tiny piece
I crawl out through all the rubble
And life functions cease
So while you’re fiercely reading
My pessimistic words
The entire world’s being conquered
By overly clever nerds
And the epic love you have for me
Becomes a new trend
All the people jumping on the train
Become the fire's friend
And the fire rages on like empathy
Consuming all in sight
I burn, turn to ash and wash away
Knowing this was right
