There are too many words,
That lie between us unsaid,
The words I wish to be spoken,
Will be lost in the silence that remains
unbroken,
Silence is all I can hear,
The silence between us is more than I can bear,
The silence is thick, black, consuming,
Words are thought,
Waiting to be said,
The words that are spoken,
Only causes more silence,
I dread the silence,
I want to scream, shout, yell,
Ring a gong, hear a bell,
Anything is better than the silence,
I'm waiting for you to break the silence,
The silence surrounds me,
I close my eyes,
Giving up,
I will not fight,
Let it take me,
No more hope,
No more wishing,
No more speaking,
I open my eyes and watch,
As the silence overtakes me,
That's all, no more,
Nothing but silence,
I'm surrounded by silence,
The silence chokes me,
Cutting off my breath,
Only you can end this suffering,
Turning blue,
Words are not sighed,
My last thought is 'I loved you until I died'
