When she opened the door to the library, a cool breeze met her from the window across from the doorway. All the lights were out and the glow of natural light only illuminated what it could reach. Corners of the room were draped with deep shadows. The room was vacant, and by the looks of things, had been for some time. The building was open which usually involved staff and other citizens. Hannah started to shiver and wish she had brought Greg along with her. She crept along the counter and through the shelves. The place was deserted with the smell of fear and danger mixed with the usual smells of old paper and carpet cleaner. She was about to leave when something moved slightly in a dark corner.
Hello, she called into the air thick with tension, and her gut instincts were screaming, Get the hell out of here. The thing moved again, first slowly then quickly lunging out into the light.
Oh my God! Oh m and that was it.
