I probably should have been
Another semen stain splattered
On a dirty mattress.
It would have been easier for you to be
Human with enough integrity
To last a healthy lifetime.

I probably shouldn't have poked and prodded
My way into your bed and spoon fed
So many tales of heroic adventure.
It would have been easier for you to go on
Living without a life inside,
One that you would eventually, heartbroken and emotionless, end alone.

We probably shouldn't always preach, or
Push our views onto the youth.
It would be easier for them to make a choice
Based on calculated rationale,
Taught from an unbiased professional.

For fear of a better world
We view ourselves as gods and play the role.
Dear life,
We dominate, abbreviate, and resuscitate.
