So many things that happened

That I just could not control

The burden was way too much

To bear this blame on my soul



The death I could not stop

The pain I could not ease

The love I could not give

And now she rests in peace



I never got to say goodbye

So afraid that I never dared

And now she will never know

Just how much I really cared



Another tear shed in vain

Another smile I did not see

Another burden I must bare

They're weighing heavily on me



I'm falling faster than ever before

Into a darkness that I can not afford

Lost in madness and the sadness soars

So I'm reaching to heaven for remorse
