She doesn’t even understand the world that I come from
She’s painted this picture of who she thinks I am
Inside that little head where she’ll never understand
I need a woman that wants to have more out of her life
Than just another high as she sits back for the ride
You know I realize that I’m as aimless as the rest
But at least I’m trying in my life to do my best
They don’t feel the words I’ve written in my rhymes
They just pretend after they’ve skimmed over the lines
I’m neither a trophy nor the answers to your prayers
I’m just looking for love and don’t appreciate the stares

She acts like her life is hard but I’m afraid it’s not
The difference between the survivors and the lost
Is the simple appreciation for the great things that you got
I need a woman that can let go of her heart

She’s got to be down to earth and not at all naïve
