All she ever wanted

All she ever needed

Was to know that everything would be okay

Now there’s nothing to say



Death inside her heart

And pain inside her eyes

Now she’s dreaming of a life she’ll never have

She’s so beautifully sad



Crossing one more line

Breaking one more rule

It was the only way that she ever knew how

To confront her own doubts



The streets so cold

Yet her heart so bold

She’s on her knees praying to the Lord up above

For His compassion and love



The death that walks

And the demons that talk

Haunt her soul yet she keeps reaching for grace

And not a moment too late



Crying to the heavens

As the rain pours down

She sings a song of the pain that she’s bore

And a heart that’s been tore



Inside her eyes

Behind her walls

There’s an angel screaming out loud to be set free

But only she can see



Fallen from grace

This angel of night

She only seeks a soul that only seeks hers

And hears her words
