As my heart beat races faster

And my tongue falls to the floor

The words just inside my lips

Never make it to that door



How I'd love to tell you

That I think I'm what you need

Oh how I'd love to show you

How much passion's inside me



But my lips they will not open

My desires stay deep inside

A quick "hello" is all I have

For the candle in my night



I'm confined by pen and paper

Ever damned to only be heard

By the eyes of the patrons

Who dare look upon my words



Confined by pen and paper

Cause I'm trembling with fear

My broken heart is all I have

And I can shed no more tears



As long as I'm confined...

By the thin black lines...

Painted in shards of time...

Until the pen and paper they find...
