Ghetto Bird

Ghetto Bird

Does ghetto bird fly for justice?
Does ghetto bird fly for peace?
The ghetto bird is gutless
As far as I can see
It shines it light on the thief
It follows as he flees
The ghetto bird has no care
For such thief’s misery
No eyes look for
No ears hear for
The problems of this thief
Its job is plain and simple
Lock thief up for eternity
There is no concern
There is no care
For such a thief’s despair
The thief has a name
Of which he wears with shame
The shame of his father
Who he wish to be slaughtered
Their name is shared
The name of a father
Who never bothered
To help his son
When times get tough
When times get rough
Father and ghetto bird relate
They each receive hate
From this son
From this thief
From this kid who was born
On these cold, poor streets
As he shivered with no sheets
While he wished for heat
Such a heat only love can give
A love that never lived
Tis why I wish ghetto bird not fly
For it shows no compassion
To the kid whose head is bashed in
By the clubs of those who cash in
On the troubles of this thief
Please, no more grief
