Big-Headed Morning Glories

They are sometimes called
hybrids, sometimes cultivars;
the heads reference the girth
and breadth and depth
of the flower.
.
Huge crocuses referenced
as "Jumbo" and "Giant"
ZINNIAS hold not stamen
or stem to my pride happy
big-head morning glories.
No blue heavenly bugles,
they are pink and unevenly
round as coconut bon-bons.
.
It's not poetic, really. You
can not eat them. They only
last a day. Yes, of course this is 
only a garden-side observation.
.
Perhaps I could go back
and make this rhyme, but no,
that would never do. The poet
laureates of prose-poetry might
get mad at me.
