FLOWER PETALS

I’d fall way too easily
Into the oblivion
Of which I have
Never been before
With so much potential
To gain from the knowledge
Of understanding such sweetness
Of the flower petals for the best
To not have to protest
Against the sad misfortune
Of losing out on
A beautiful game of love
As to not hit the ground
By emotionally falling down
But to fall upward
And hit the sky
Without even asking why
I would even need
A single amount
Of reason to fly
When all the while
I feel like I might die
From a love 
For something that’s gone wrong
As it won’t seem
To take me very long
To stop singing
My same sad song
As I’d take these flower petals
And set them free
After when I’d find out
That I am the one
That has learned
To so truly love me
As I’d open the door
And to let the flower petals
Fly so lovingly away
For it will be way too painful
Just to let them die off
Into the sadness of yesterday
