One hit K.O.
After a night of drinking, Diego decided was time to get some dinner and head home. After a couple second of looking around he spotted a Mcdonalds a couple meters away and decided to go there.
Diego was drunk and could barely walk, after stumbling through the door, he headed to the counter.
“I would like a BigMac, please”-Diego said to the cashier “And a large coke and chips” “That would be $7.20, cash or eftpos?”
“Eftpos” Diego stuttered.
The cashier handed Diego the credit card reader and he inserted his pin. After the transaction was complete he waited anxiously for his order to be ready. After a couple minutes he was called to the counter, he picked up his order and headed towards the exit. Diego sat on the sidewalk to eat his dinner while watching people pass. On the opposite side of the street he saw his friend Anwar, struggling to walk. “He must be drunk” Diego thought to himself.
In the other side of the street a couple is walking to Anwar’s direction. Anwar seeing the girl, catcalls her loudly. This makes her boyfriend angry. He starts sprinting towards Anwar and as Diego watches this tries to alert his friend, but it´s too late. Anwar falls to the ground after a single punch and hits his head on the ground. The man notices what he´s done and flees the scene with the girl. Diego runs toward Anwar and notices that he is not O.K., he is not responding so he calls an ambulance.
After a couple of days at the hospital, the doctors tell Diego that his friend may not wake up any time soon, he is in a coma. Diego feels bad about what happened and maybe if he hasn’t been so drunk he could have help his friend.
