This is the new and expected, Pixar project that will focus on the Mexican holiday of "Day of the Dead". His plot focuses on   Miguel, a boy who is 12 years old who lives in a lively and noisy Mexican town and is part of a humble family of cobblers. The young man is a lover of music, but he does not have the support of his own because for generations, they have censored it  because they believe that there is a curse on it.

According to a family story, Miguel's great-grandfather left his wife, Imelda,  many years ago to continue his dream of being a musician. Alone and abandoned, Imelda had to take care of the family and declared the music dead forever. But Miguel wants to fulfill his dreams inspired by his favorite singer of all time,  Ernesto de la Cruz,  ending accidentally in the Land of the Dead. In this trip, the young man will find his ancestors, will know his origins and will restore the love that in the background has his family in the music. No doubt, since the best thing about the Pixar films, is that they make the children enjoy themselves, but also their parents.
