Amnesia, Part I

I fought away the demons
Trembled at the sight of their arms
Still I clambered on
Still I live

This soil is refreshing
But where are my bugles and hands?
Here I'm forgotten
Here I'm dead

Like the mouse among the cats
I am cornered by futility
My gun is nothing but a hassle

The hands of pompous men weave comfort
At the cost of our sanity
If you saw it, would you care?
Could you lend me a watchful eye?

If being brave was my evil crime
Send me back to torrid waters
For there, I left some memories
In the eyes of a dying breath
