At A Moment Of Abandon
[after 2 Timothy 4:10]
From the imprisoned Apostle Paul I have heard
that Demas, who taught me of Grace in the Word,
has departed---abandoned us---for this present world.
The knowledge he gave me is still to be preferred,
despite the truth of his nature now unfurled.
