I Wouldn't Miss It

Yeah, I can imagine you’ve seen it all,

A sunrise on a postcard,

The golden hour on a feed.

But I was right here,

Just before light gets jarred,

When this world holds its breath

and sounds recede.

And I wouldn't miss it...

The feeling leads to moments

When a roller coaster

takes its highest stake,

That's the fear, the thrill, the promise,

Of seeing you as days break.

And I wouldn't miss it...

People speak of landmarks,

Every concrete jungle

from a silhouette space,

A manmade testament that

ambition etched.

But it wouldn't offset

How I can marvel at your face

Under all the skylines

they've ever sketched.

You are all destinations,

The finish line I always run to,

The starting pistol that sets my pace,

Every breath, and every heartbeat blew

Life into this body to exalt your grace.

And I wouldn't miss it...

Because I’ve seen a world,

In the reflection of your brown eyes,

And it’s more beautiful, more real,

Than any place I've been.

And there's a way to capitalize

in the moment with me and chill.

And I wouldn't miss it...

It's only me,

Miles passed a hope and a dream,

Looking at everything I need to see.

And I wouldn't miss it for a thing.
