Peace

If I Had A Wish

If I Had A Wish

If i had a wish

by a genie in a lamp

or an orb that stands

or just out of an imaginary friend

In any case:

I would wish for peace

Peace in the world now

and that which is yet to come

peace without conflict

As wars are fought

In the name of peace

As peace is war's bane

and not it's initiate

But one thing is vital to mention

As man lives, peace sits in detention

so, i guess peace isn't really my mission

and let's discard this intuition

OH NO! i haven't used alliteration!

but i may have used some personification

For oft even we humans

Act like animals with no education

for we contrive creative retaliations

and blatantly gloat our strengths

but fail to ungarble one mystery

and that is....

Peace

Underwater Trying Not To Drown

Sorrow filling my lungs

Choking on the tears

Crushing my heart

But I’ve never felt so alive

Underwater Trying Not To Drown

Cinders to ash, ash to smoke

My soul caught on the breeze

And left this empty corpse behind

Far behind and not looking back

Why can’t we go back to who we once were?

Peace

One thing this world never knew

What could it be? And i say it's peace

Wars are all that we know in truth

Wars are fought always in the name of peace

A moral said by a great man

United we stand, divided we fall

But we witness it the other way

Divided we stand, united we fall

We could have solved problems through

peace

But what to do they never got solved

Countries held talks known as 'peace talks'

But what was the result, we never got peace

Everything could have been solved by peace

This world would have been a better place

But Countries will always struggle

As greed and war takes them over.

no regrets

............

who cares if there

are flowers on my corpse

if I'm dead?

if love is your intent

then bring me

some good memories

and things you learned

to make your life easier

and more worth living.

wrap it up in a rusted coffee can

from some dark alley where babies lie in dumpsters

and place it somewhere all can see and be comforted

that someone thought about them, and cared

about why their lives ended, and tried to understand

not to punish, but to prevent it.

give me life in my death,

and not sorrow for

what you forgot to do

or not do, to prevent

yourself from being hurt

on the day I leave here.

funerals are for the ones who are left here,

because the only thing I intend

to leave you after material possessions

are divied out,

is the same thing since the day

I first looked in your eyes,

the gratitude for having shared moments together.

we have all been dying since the day we were born,

and if we arrive at our final resting place in peace,

and not at the hands of violence,

then we have been granted more than enough

to say we have been blessed.

I spend my days now thinking what a beautiful soul you are.

Chasing Time

Memories are fading,

Remember your smile.

Please tell me you remember mine,

What is lost is not forgotten,

I cherish every moment we were both alive.

Seems natural my heart became an icicle cavern,

No man should be told not to feel,

Or compromise.

Lack of passion and driven insanity,

Intoxicated with desire,

An empty bottle filled with the pretence of ego,

Swallowed with pride; still room left to breathe.

Haunting memory of a smile almost forgotten,

Here with me, teach me your intoxicating poison:

The drip is an overflow of promises to keep,

I never kept them; do you shower me with shame?

The irrelevance I feel,

The impudent, lonesome warrior;

We fought, so I became the fighter,

Limbs become weak in the absence of shelter.

If we could go back in time,

Chasing the same dreams,

Are we still the same aspiration,

Or masked fallacy?

'Twas The Night Before Awareness

...............

..........

'Twas the night before awareness,

When all through the world,

The people were waiting,

For a magic wonderland to unfurl,

A sense of entitlement,

Covered the land,

Like a snow in the silence,

All possessions in hand.

Flowers are mulicolored,

Some vegetables have a strange hue,

The skies are polluted,

And the waterways are too,

Our lying little mouths

Speak only of money,

And love is just something

When using words like "honey".

Teaching kids to expect,

That life will be easy,

They find out it's not,

And start living it cheaply,

Whine and complain

About their ways and behavior,

Giving them pills

That don't work in their favor.

Sense of entitlement

With morals askew,

This is me...

And yes, this is you,

Neglecting the things

That are felt with the heart,

Buried in shame

Real love hasn't a start.

Pain is a signal

We learned to numb up,

Imbalances rampant,

We've all now cracked up,

Sensitivity is beautiful,

But pain has real purpose,

And it doesn't exist

Just to feel sorry for us.

But roses are so red,

And violets so blue,

In this world we create,

When we have eyes like a shrew,

We're the little old drivers,

Unable to see,

We're at a party with Alice,

And we ain't sippin' tea.

Addicted to poison,

We bid a good-night,

In hopes that Saint Nick

Will make everything right,

Our wondering eyes

Have created a fear,

We can't possibly face

In a world we can't steer.

Pill after pill

Dream after dream,

This is the way

That we kill self-esteem,

Removing the blinders

A wise thing that is taught

To do otherwise,

Is how we bury a thought.

Stress can be lethal,

And imbalance will thrive,

There are pills that can actually

Keep you alive,

But that doesn't mean

To ourselves we should lie,

And that pain, pain,

Will go away,

No pain, is something

That is here to stay.

Just a little about how pain is always there, and what we focus on, is what we will get back.

Experiential Learning For A World At War

...............

This “War On Terror” and “The War On Drugs”

will just create a much more sophisticated kind of thug,

And though prison is big business in the “land of the free”,

Let’s not run from the truth about these inmates I see.

All dressed up,

In the latest warehouse gear,

With a touch of arrogance to cover the fear,

As they wait to be judged, the most of them find

their life has already been mapped out by society’s sick mind.

Yet they all wait in line, being tossed to the side,

And accept the sick way that we twist the word “guide”.

For some, they get more than life outside would have brought,

The foundations of love out here no longer taught,

Minimum, medium and maximum stays,

Rape the future of so many lost yesterdays…

Tomorrows unseen await mystically hid,

Will we find better ways to undo what we did?

Could we manage to open our hearts and our minds,

And be inspired to seek the intelligence meant for us to find?

Why do our schools neglect to educate?

Our young people are full of fear violence and hate.

But what could we expect?

Do we teach them to live lives of honesty, loyalty and compassion…?

Can we look in our OWN eyes and honestly say that we even HAVE this to GIVE??

Do we make a priority of things that we touch

With our heart…

More important than the riches we clutch?

Do we emphasize kindness, not envy and greed?

No.

We find it more important that they all learn to read.

In this land of the free and the home of the brave,

Do we teach independence to ones that fall astray?

Do we seek out the differences and build a firm base for a child that’s different?

No.

We simply erase.

We erase all the beauty when we close our eyes,

when we don’t take the time to be patient and wise,

But diversity lives where possibility lies,

And another young life sees the warehouse disguise.

As I wait in this prison I envision a day,

When society sees the light I see today,

There are only two things that can happen ahead,

We can salvage what’s left of love…

Or render it dead…

In the hands of the children, sits diversity’s chance,

To uncover the genius within humanity’s dance,

And for us now the elders,

Our atonement could TRULY guide

all the lost that have suffered due to the sin of false pride.

If the true heart of liberty fosters the cure,

It will lead countries to peace and the world from all war,

If we help men let go of the pain from their past,

Brave new worlds will shine through on this Earth,

      …LOVE WILL LAST.

I used wonder often..very often, how it is, that we can do so many unbelievable brilliant things, and discover so many things that make money---but we cannot figure out how to live in peace with each other.

Requiem For A Casualty

graves2

..............

One rainy day I peered into the window of your soul,

The shattered pieces of your life, like a shroud to fill the hole,

A roomful of confusion, was the story left behind,

A teardrop dons a cheek or two, life's end can be unkind,

This solemn stage is deafening as soldiers come to call,

The pinned lapels are like trophied shelves adorning a blackened wall,

And as I toss the single rose atop the earthen mound,

I toss my sun... My moon... My stars...

My life, into .the ground.

ball of confusion

...............

people become highly indignant,

even declare war upon nations,

to murder millions in the name of a god

that is the center of their 'religion',

but answer this: if your 'religion'

is a 'business', then why do you

call it a 'religion'? and if your war

is costing your nation millions

of dollars to take the lives of

millions of people, then who are

you really fighting, your religion,

or your government? and who is

fighting who?
