Yet [*/+/^] : 27.225 MHz, Some Final Measures; July 31, 1922, The Bolsheviks Added More Blood To Blood

Russia, your flag was aptly colored red;

the baleful soviet star drew blood to blood;

new sheddings added to the past's bloodshed:

the Metropolitan of Petrograd

(and now the Hieromartyr), Benjamin;

of the Orthodox Church a true son;

accused, charged, and condemned an Enemy

of Russia's people.  Such hypocrisy

in which such actions were, in that time, clad:

this was the craven style of Bolsheviks---

a gaggle of crude thugs and uncouth p---ks.

(Topple their statues down, faces in mud;

they should not be just toppled but hard slammed

to take their place in Hell  damned; as ever damned;

who carried out grim orders with aplomb,

orders from Lenin's lackies---Sovnarkom.)

Author's Notes/Comments:

Due to my procrastination, I almost missed posting this poem timely for the hundredth anniversary of the Bolshevik murder of Hieromartyr Saint Benjamin, Metropolitan of Petrograd.
