I thank the Lord that Purgatory
is a definite reality:
not some lingering, ancient ghost story,
nor some clever Poet's allegory;
but a place of final preparation,
the sloughing off of all desecration,
and entering into ultimate sanctification
according to Grace's instrumentality;
the better to enter Christ's eternity,
and behold His triumphant and regnant glory.
In the beginning was the Word
In the beginning was the Word and in the middle are many, of which we are all welcome to partake, encouraged -even. But the ultimate end, the Omega is also the Word and all is well for us and our fumbling attempts at wordedness. It seems an apt set of circumstances.
