When Summer Comes In Winter

Folder:
2004

When summer comes in winter
When the land is frozen
Days are short
Nights are long
And no flowers bloom.
She wraps the day in her warm blanket of loveshine.

When summer comes in winter
When life is dreary
Songs of birds cease
Desolate boughs brush the sky
And death is welcomed
Her presence transforms the ice crystals into a
Life-giving drink to the frozen earth.

When summer comes in winter
Stardust sprinkled on snowflakes fallen
Melded in the dance of lights
Embracing the music of night's breeze
Bringing comfort to dusk's wounds
She radiates the inner beauty of twilight's soul.

When summer comes in winter
Solstice approaches unhindered
Yielding the days to an elusive spring
Lifting the ash of life from the hearth of her bosom
Ushering in a rebirth of hope and love with season's change.
