I Don't Want to Write a Bad Love Poem For You

~I Don't Want to Write a Bad Love Poem For You~

I don't want to write a bad love poem for you.

A poem flush with forced rhyme

and passe ideas

poured from the mind of an unknown

whose future shall remain dubious.

I don't want to write a bad love poem for you,

even though others have,

and will continue to do so,

because you say you love them

as I sit and revise these lines

over and over again

while the muse holds her belly

in laughter.

The profound depths of this poem cannot befully measured in mere words.

It's not till now that I

It's not till now that I think I finally have come to understand why February has historically been postpoems most active month (I love stats). I'm not particularly to Valentines Day, so I guess the explanation just never crossed my mind before. Your poem brought that apparent realization to me, for what ever that may be worth to you. But, also I would like to add that if I can give a complimentary remark to Feb. 14th in relative regards, it does inspire a lot of people to write. Even if the efforts aren't nearly always refined, I think that's worth something :) We need more days to inspire written expression.
