The father I choose to be
will be one of understanding patience and consistency.
I firmly believe by utilizing these three behaviors
They will allow for emotional growth as individuals
and as father and son.
Using this approach towards my son will create true stability for both Joshua and myself.
As his father it is critical to form a solid foundation
of what I feel are the three most important tools
for him to be as ready as possible for his 20s.
He'll face the world and adulthood head on.
Nothing and no one is perfect however trying your best will result in the best results possible.
Being attentive to his needs, wants and his opinions
will result in him understanding he's respected as a person and as my son which honestly are different and yet one in the same.
By being firm in following through with understanding patience and consistency
Joshua will have the father I never had.
I will be a father involved in my son's upbringing
which is a gift I wasn't given as a child
