Almost ethereal in his beauty

Almost ethereal in his beauty and ascending above irrational hate, he makes this poem the perfect tribute to Pride month. June is Pride month, by the way, because the first celebration began in the last week of June in 1970, marking the first anniversary of the violent police raid at New York’s Stonewall Inn, a gay bar. Fast forward to today and we find that some towns in the US have banned the Pride flag.
