Quietly Within

Held within so

sacred

Determinedly safe

of a distance

just beyond

her gentle misconception

so very still

she stands in the ruins

of melodies whispered between her thighs

in rushing river waters of a more compelling silence

tugging soft tissue

canting a sinking horizon.

You must consider the times of her life

shapely in their alluring quietude...

yet his accidental voice alone carried

to where he left her.

The curvature of his words memorized

in the darkness of a reluctant turn of tides

Yet so unexpected were the words escaping

her lips

a voice so foreign in the stillness as to

startle the air around her

as to corrupt dust patterns on the floor

as to wrinkle a time continuum ever shifting...

'Loving another is never wrong',

whispered she.

Touching, provovative, down

Touching, provovative, down right sexy, and yet, almost spiritual in it's presentation of passion. Each verse containing a phrase, or line, that by itself would complete any ordinary poem. Applauding this seems too mundane, so I bow to it's conception and beauty. Thank you for your talent.

Thank you so much, Wordman,

Thank you so much, Wordman, for stopping by and leaving such an uplifting and breathtaking response. It is TRULY an honor to know that my words have touched you, for talent, of course, is a matter of opinion. Any writer can only hope that their words mean anything to the readers. Your comment blessed my day, sir. I can only say thank you!

Oh where do I begin with this

Oh where do I begin with this heart-fluttering treasure, pulsating in its sensuality, bursting with breathtaking leaps of eloquence such as:

 "so very still

she stands in the ruins

of melodies whispered between her thighs

in rushing river waters of a more compelling silence" ?

The paradox of "alluring quietude" (love it!) and the thunderous truth that could bend the laws of physics, was a masterstroke.

Stunning work.
