I have no issue with you not wanting to share my heart.

I have no issue with you not returning my calls.

I have no issue with you at all.

I have no issue with you turning your back on this child.

But I need you to know that…  

This child that will never know you.

This child who looks so much like you.  

This child whose name is hyphenated because your drinking was more important.  

This child that saved her mother’s life from the inside.

This child that you ignored and denied.  

This child whose unseen tears for you she has cried.

This child what stares at your picture on her mobile so she knows what you look like.

This child who has been blessed with a Mommy and a Bubbe.

This child that has her own cross to bear and wonders why daddy doesn’t care.

This child who doesn’t understand paternity tests and lies.

This child who just born, gives mommy a hug instead of seeing her cry.

This child with her piercing all knowing eyes.

This child, my child, our child that you defied.



No I have no issue, none at all, but this child, my child has been born into them all.
