Condescension

Hated posture

how dare? My mind

not subject to censure

or encouragement

based on alien values.

Sincerity is going

to be hard believed.
Coersive techniques

will fail psychologically.
Truth and morality

are not objective.
Reap it, a fake sincerity.

Sow it elsewhere.

Yes, "virtue signaling" is

Yes, "virtue signaling" is becoming a widespread problem. One of the most unique elements of this on display has a tremendous amount of sudden self righteousness in our society about equality in regards to gay, lesbian and queer peoples. I remember, in 2007, being an outsider in saying that marriage rights should be equal for everyone. Not many people seemed to mind that none of the presidential candidates, even the purported incoming savior at the time, were in favor of this. Yet just a few years later, suddenly the pendelum had swung. Now, it seems there's a huge swath of people - often essentially uneffected by the legislation themselves - who are incredibly unforgiving towards anyone who still may not agree or has been slower to agree. I find this suspect, considering I know that many of these very people were on the other side of the issue just a decade or so ago. While there is a certain human tendency to suddenly expect everyone else to "figure it out" when 'you' do, it does seem a bit insincere for people to be calling for the censorship of other people for views they often held themselves at an earlier point in life - often, not even that long ago. Fact is, there has to be room for people to disagree and, hopefully, we'll all figure out what the truth of every matter is in time. I don't know where you personally stand on this issue, but I think it has been hijacked and used as a seminal catalyst for encouraging people to shift judgemental behavior and point it at new undesirables, rather than reduce judgemental thinking in society. A missed opportunity and very sad.

Insincerity, under pressure of being attacked for having the wrong (or "wrong", depending) views, doesn't help us. Censorship makes it even worse.

This is a fantastic poem. Time and again you successfully condense so much content into a modest number of words. A picture is worth a thousand words. So is an Allets stanza.

This Issue

I treat it as a non-issue. naieve, I treat people as humans. LGBTQ politicized for rights, we heteros listen to get it right like Hispanic is out and Latin-X is in - their choice, their lives, their definitions. Black vs Afram - either one is better than jungle bunny.

.

Adjust or walk around ticked off at something you can't change. This aggregate has always been around. By the way, did you know they gutted the civil rights act? I need to look that up. Lynchings are back. LGbtq - get in line, got a few polit-issues over here. Usually I turn their message off- heard it. And not my issues. They got this!

Yes, it never made sense for

Yes, it never made sense for me to get bent about a choice between two people in their own lives. I think, for most of the people who haven't accepted that yet, though, it's due to religious beliefs. Which won't change overnight (and, perhaps for some, ever). Which is why I think censorship and force is an especially bad way to go about getting people to see the better way. Not to mention that, of course, censorship will not just be used for such purposes. The state (and corporate state, now) always creates bad laws wrapped in the promise of good intentions - it's get people to follow along.

Interesting mention regarding Latin-x, though I would point out that there are a lot of people in South and Central America (and some in NA) that see it as a form of colonialism for people in America to insist their language is sexist and needs to change. And I do agree. I'm all for people - for themselves - choosing the form they like, though. I think the micro-specifics are often unhealthy wars and cause us to lose sight of the main point, which is treating people with dignity, as you cleared laid out in your remarks on Black vs African American vs clearly disparaging names.

As for the Civil Rights Act - yes, apparently that was in 2013 (had to look back). Ironically, though, this gutting actually led a couple of states to swing the vote towards Biden because they were allowed to make last minute changes which were previously unconstitutional, till the Surpreme Court ruling. There's some debate over whether there were violations over parts of voting laws that were still in effect and benefited Biden, but I don't know much about that, nor - admittedly - honestly care that much because all the presidents are just puppets for national and multinational corporations, as far as I'm concerned.

Anyway, the Civil Rights Act has been largely broken up. Damage has also been done to the Disability Act and HIPPA, which protected (at least on paper) people's personal medical histories from effecting their job status/applications. Very quietly during the last year, that rule has been changed so that employers can legally discriminate against people who don't get the vaccine (which is, I figure, the main way that people will be cornered into getting it, for those that don't want to). Of course, corporate power has taken over much of the speech space, and so the 1st amendment is losing much of it's value, too. Yea, things are crumbling. Hooray technocratic totalitaranism? Corporatism? Which ever.

18th Century Pattern

The experiment is ongoing - corps = plantation owners = aristocracy. Another system deemed most effective for controlling (oppressing the folk) vs at threat of prison (gulags/camps) or execution ny poison or bullet - starvation and neglect fit too. Want resources if a people, withhold vaccine, less population to conscript for none to two dollars a day wages.

.

Cures: If not made here tariff set so high corps will make it here. (Patrism means a few assassinations if uncorruptible Congress Persons or rebel Prez goes after Murdock and the Rockerfellers, fb and Google. The Elon Musk counterparts are invested to the teeth - they fall and talk abiut fuel to grid failures. We the ubers survive or we'll wait it out till you realize kings/queens were not erased just behind everything being invisible.

.

As systems go, it never did Aframs any favors, chains keep staging a comback even with bullions attached (ask Oprah in Scandinavia or Mike). How much of your freedom do you relinquish. Cure: Storm Congress Oh, that did not work. Uh, rewrite Constitution, take 50% of wealthy's wealth and redistribute. No, it wiuld all freeze up and shut down. Presently, wealth is off shore anyway - buy an Island and waut till usa regains it's sence of serfdom. That's all I got - and for my last 5-10 years of life, I'm going all out for me! I've given to everyone enough - this brain still works okay. Capitalist, just keep the buses running!

Enjoy the forest and wilderness.
